The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) is the regulatory body for the province’s over 8000 Licensed Practical Nurses in Alberta, Canada.
The College’s members play vital roles in Alberta’s health care system and provide health care services in a variety of settings and contexts including, but not limited to Acute Care, Maternal Child, Pediatrics, Continuing Care, Mental Health, Public Health, and Community Agencies.
CLPNA regulates the profession by setting entry-to-practice requirements, establishing, promoting and enforcing standards of practice and conduct, and enhancing the care provided by members of the profession through the Continuing Competency Program.
